“Our Silenced Voices” : Correcting the Narrative Surrounding Queer Design

A curriculum designed to celebrate Queer voices while bringing awareness to the many instances where they have been silenced and discredited for their contributions in the Art and Design space. This subject is unfortunately not often addressed, researched, nor seen as important. So by creating visibility surrounding the centuries worth of censorship and misconceptions; there is hope that young queer people will feel seen and empowered to be true to themselves and their art. It is time to celebrate the queer artists who made great contributions to the art world regardless of the backlash they receiving. It’s time to correct the false narrative created around these artists and their work.

This is a subject that deserves deep research and analysis, as such it will be transforming from a short curriculum into a longer research publication.
