Glimpse at the storycards

Cultural mythologies and folklore are products of a need to understand and explain the world and its natural occurrences and tragedies. Through these stories, lessons and history are preserved and passed down throughout generations. More often than not, folklore and myths derive from lived experiences and act as allegories. The stories passed down are a means of understanding and learning from the past. While stories and cultural backgrounds vary, common themes exist that interconnect the stories and media that is created and consumed.

History and stories are meant to be shared and preserved. From spoken word to physical publications, stories live on through those who share them and those who consume them. While digital archives and websites serve as a valid form of storytelling, there is nothing like the nostalgia and memories felt when reading stories in physical format. This storybook compiles stories from across four continents. All sharing the same fundamental truths and a variety of lessons. In one book, readers are able to experience stories people from all over the world grow up hearing and reading.

Physical cards are some of the most accessible and convenient learning tools. Through heavy image based cards with short descriptors, viewers will get a glimpse as to what these stories are about on a deeper level. Of which will intrigue them enough to want to learn more on their own or read the storybook.
